TIME FORMS. TIME FORMS. A group show from DUNCAN PASSMORE / DAMIEN SAYER / ROB BLAKE encouraged and supported by gr_und 19.05.17 to 09.06.17 Vernissage 19.05.17 from 19.00 Open from Thursday to Saturday 16.00-19.00 Duncan Passmorehttps://www.instagram.com/brown_gold_regal_/ Duncan Passmore uses an abstract expressionist approach that transforms his strokes into unconscious, steganographic compositions. Spontaneity acts as a unified element that develops the body as a anarchic tool positioned between coded layers of texture and colour. Damien Sayerhttp://damiensayer.tumblr.com/ The work of Damien Sayer has its roots in the Paris suburbs. For 5 years, DS has photographed his family, friends or people he meets; his small format-pictures remain simple documentary pages: simple facts or portraits recorded on a sheet of paper. For his images to exist on the wall, Sayer uses low-grade materials that interplay with the realism on display in his documents. Rob Blakehttp://cargocollective.com/robblake Rob Blake is a mixed media artist, interested in power structures and systems. His sculptures, films, sounds and paintings communicate a sense of unease regarding our constructed consumer world. Blake is concerned with empathy within contemporary culture, and reconciling life with an increasingly indifferent capitalist society. Using altered ready-made technology, or tropes and memes, Blake collages and repurposes materials of the modern day to investigate the truths and non-truths that are fabricated to support the current socio-economic construction.
